How do you think digital fashion is changing the traditional fashion industry, and what opportunities do you see arising from this shift?
The impact of digital fashion on the traditional fashion industry is vast and rapidly transforming it in numerous ways. This shift is leading to a more sustainable and inclusive fashion industry by reducing the need for physical garment production and providing opportunities for cost-effective, material-saving, and highly accurate virtual clothing. Additionally, the incorporation of AI-powered algorithms allows for the creation of highly personalized fashion experiences by collecting and analyzing data on customers' preferences, behavior, and style choices. The shift to digital fashion also offers opportunities for endless possibilities in terms of design, customization, and creativity, allowing designers to push the boundaries of what is possible and create truly unique and innovative pieces.
What do you want to achieve with your digital fashion design?
As a fashion designer, my ultimate goal is to create designs that are both unique and impressive, setting them apart from anything else on the market. There is no greater feeling than seeing individuals wearing and cherishing my creations. This is the pinnacle of success for me and what I strive to achieve through my work.
Describe your creative process?
My approach to designing varies depending on the project at hand. I sometimes use the traditional approach. I do research, create moodboards and illustrations. But sometimes I just merely listen to the music, or meditate, immerse myself in nature for inspiration which I call it my “positive time” and the idea just comes to me. To be honest I like this approach more because it is when I am mostly creative.
Once I am ready to begin, I create the garments digitally and the subsequent steps can vary based on the project requirements. This may include generating renders, converting and exporting files for various platforms, creating animations, or even developing tech packs as needed for the client or project.
Can you share a specific project or collection you've worked on that you're particularly proud of, and what was the inspiration behind it?
While I don't have a specific project that I favor, I take great pride in all the work that I have done. The process of design involves a collective effort of ideas and visions, and each design is infused with its distinct inspiration and communicates its own narrative.
